We're looking for two Network Services Apprentice's to join our Network Services and Network Support teams. This is an ideal role for those beginning their career path, looking to gain experience within Network Services and increase their skills and knowledge. You will complete a Level 4, CompTIA Network Engineer qualification as part of the Apprenticeship.
As part of our Network Services team, you'll dive into the dynamic realm of ISP delivery, taking an active part in the technical deployment of our network solutions. You'll gain invaluable knowledge and skills through hands-on learning, shadowing experienced engineers and benefiting from our comprehensive network training programs. Our dedicated lab environment offers a perfect setting for practical training and skill development.
This role serves as an excellent platform to lay down the foundational knowledge crucial for a thriving career in networking. It prepares you for future growth, enabling you to enhance your expertise and achieve professional certifications like the Cisco CCNA.
As part of your apprenticeship, you will rotate between the Network Service and Network Support teams every three months, gaining valuable exposure to both departments.
We're looking for candidates who are eager to learn, dedicated to performing at their best, and willing to go above and beyond when needed. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, as the role involves interacting with customers both over the phone and in person. This is more than just a job; it's a stepping stone to a successful career in network services, offering a unique blend of learning opportunities and hands-on experience.
· Delivering customer connectivity solutions within agreed time frames. · Building router configurations to the provided specifications. · Troubleshooting connectivity incidents, working with customers and carriers to meet agreed SLA’s. · Troubleshooting WAN/LAN incidents to diagnose and rectify faults. · Assisting engineers and consultants with a range of projects. · Attending data centres/pops when required. · Working with customers during bring live appointments to bring network solutions live. · Collaborating with other technical specialist teams within the business.
· An understanding of general IT technologies. · Excellent communication and documentation skills. · A willingness to learn new skills and expand current knowledge. · Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage own workload. · A Level 3 ICT qualification or relevant experience / A level qualifications.
